‘TRADITIONAL & ROOTS' - A new workshop Series
- Are you a ‘living room only’ musician?

It's time to start playing with others in a group!
Learn | Improve | Gain Confidence | Have Fun!
The real meaning of music-making is playing with others! There are a number of jam sessions in local pubs but they can be intimidating for people not acclimatised to jamming at a higher level in unstructured sessions. My workshops are an opportunity to take part in an organised, instructor-led session where full guidance will be given.
These workshops are for Guitar, Ukulele, Banjo, Bass, Mandolin, Accordion, Fiddle, Percussion - and players of any folk instrument who can read chords.
All abilities are most welcome!
We will be exploring the catalogue of Traditional English, Celtic, Gaelic, Irish, Scottish, Appalachian Folk Songs along with some American Blues & Country. These are easy classics which we can really enjoy playing and singing along with (singing optional!). In the first half of the workshops, we'll rehearse 10 selected songs as an ensemble with some tips and tricks included. In the second half, we'll perform & jam the songs all the way through, just for fun, just for ourselves!
The sessions take place at The Centre in Poynton. Details of the next workshop are below. To reserve your place, please use the short form below the workshop listing.
